The Hidden Village has never been about simply filling a room with toys.

It was created by a family, shaped by real parenting experiences and built around what children and their grown-ups genuinely need.

Every part of the experience has a purpose:

🌿 role-play areas that encourage children to imagine, communicate and learn
🌿 carefully limited session numbers to protect the atmosphere
🌿 a welcoming team who understand that every family is different
🌿 food, drinks and seating designed with grown-ups in mind too
🌿 a clean, comfortable space where families can make memories together

Being a parent can be wonderful, exhausting and sometimes incredibly lonely. We wanted to create somewhere that gives children a brilliant experience while helping their grown-ups feel welcomed, supported and able to switch off for a little while.

A post office, police station, vets, café, shop, construction zone and so many stories still waiting to be invented 🌿

One minute they are treating an injured animal. The next, they are serving lunch, solving a mystery or collecting vegetables from the garden.

That is the magic of The Hidden Village: children are given the setting and the props, but they decide what happens next.

Our role-play village welcomes children up to age 10 in standard sessions, with selected 0–5 sessions offering a younger environment for babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

As the summer holidays begin to wind down, there is still time to fit in one more little adventure. Spaces remain limited in every session, so booking ahead is recommended.

Sometimes the best family days out are the ones that feel easy from the moment you arrive.

A friendly face at check-in. A space that does not feel overcrowded. Somewhere your child can settle into their play while you remain comfortably close by.

We deliberately limit the number of families in every session because the atmosphere matters to us. It gives children more room to explore and helps grown-ups enjoy the visit without feeling surrounded by the usual school-holiday rush.

Our fully air-conditioned venue offers standard sessions for children up to age 10, as well as selected 0–5 sessions for younger visitors who may feel more comfortable alongside children closer to their own age.

First visits are much easier when you know exactly what to expect đź’›

When you arrive, you can park the pram, take off your shoes and complete a quick check-in. Then it is time to order a coffee and let the exploring begin.

Your booking includes 90 minutes of child-led play with access to all our immersive role-play areas. Children can move around the village at their own pace, while grown-ups join in, take a seat nearby or enjoy something from the café.

Bring socks or slippers, anything your child needs to feel comfortable and the usual essentials for babies. We have changing facilities, and the venue is card or mobile payment only.

Our standard sessions welcome children up to age 10. We also run selected 0–5 sessions for families who would prefer a session focused on babies, toddlers and preschoolers.

A children’s activity should not feel like something grown-ups simply have to endure.

We want The Hidden Village to be a place your child asks to return to, and somewhere you are genuinely happy to bring them.

While they explore, create stories and become absorbed in purposeful role play, you can join the adventure or take a seat nearby with something from the café.

Our limited-capacity sessions leave more room to play and help protect the calmer atmosphere our families value. The venue is fully air-conditioned too, so everyone can stay comfortable throughout the summer.
