Mayor Cllr Sarah Boad recently visited Shrubland Street Primary School for the first school visit of her mayoral year.

During the visit, she delivered an assembly to pupils, sharing her experience of being a town councillor and now mayor, as well as some of the history behind the civic regalia. She also spoke about her chosen charity of the year, Warwickshire Music Education Trust, which supports music education across schools in Warwickshire.

The visit ended with a Q&A session with members of the school council, who asked a range of questions.

This marks the first school visit of Cllr Boad’s mayoral year, as she looks forward to visiting every school in Leamington Spa over the coming year.

Coming soon... a special collaboration ✨️

There's a wall in Warwick that's about to tell a story...

Over the coming weeks, this blank canvas at Spinney Hill Fish Bar will be transformed into a large-scale mural with a very special meaning.

We're delighted to be working alongside Kenilworth Brick Repairs, who are preparing the wall ready for us to begin, and we're proud that this project will support Myton Hospice with much needed publicity and recognition for their amazingwork.

For now, we're keeping the details under wraps, but trust us when we say this is one we're incredibly excited about

Keep watching this space... 👀🎨

Great workshops with the students at St Mary's the Immaculate primary school in the Packmores area of Warwick.

Their ideas and sketches contributed to the finished design which was completed by Leamington Mural Festival Curator,
Tim Robottom aka Lord Numb.

Brink Contemporary Arts would like to thank the school team for the opportunity to bring more mural art to the Warwickshire County Town!
