Western Theatre tradition can be seen as a vast tree, growing many different varieties of fruit and providing habitat for a diverse ecosystem. It grew from a seed planted in Ancient Greece, and the first roots that sprouted were steeped in magic. As the branches of the tree grow wider and higher, ever diversifying, ever expanding, ever seeking, the strength of the roots becomes more important than ever. To balance the height and breadth of the branches, the roots must dig deeper into the dark and nourishing earth to find the source that first brought them life.
