‘The Dragon’s Back and Other Stories’ opens on Thursday. Artist/Dowser Pete Bousfield has been exploring the ancient landscape of Fowey Moor ( Bodmin Moor) for decades - and the luminous wall sculptures he makes are a revelation. Here is an interpretation of landscape informed by dowsing and study as well as observation - this work ripples with energy, digs deep into the earth beneath, senses what people living on the moor might have felt, in distracted by modernity. Pete’s work is fascinating and extraordinary - come and see this exhibition, it is going to be special!

‘THE DRAGON’S BACK and Other Stories’ is next! Starting on September 3rd, this will be a wonderful retrospective of artist/dowser Pete Bousfield’s stunning wall sculptures : Pete interprets places on Fowey Moor/ Bodmin Moor, places where he has walked, dowsed and observed in every season and reveals landscape deep in spirit and energy, full of the now and what lies beneath. Just brilliant to hear Anna Brown and Joseph Barker rehearsing amongst the pots and paintings of La Luna this morning….ahead of this evening’s Music on the Moors( sorry, sold out )prelude event with poets Maura Dooley and Cathy Galvin. Music, poetry, moonjars and paintings all one …….here’s a taste with Anna and Joseph playing Bach’s Invention No 1. Wonderful ! .art
