๐ More than just racing ๐
My name is Wojtek. Iโm 13 years old and Iโm a karting driver from Blairgowrie, Scotland (PH10).
I started racing when I was just 5 years old in the Bambino category. Thatโs where it all began and where my love for racing grew.
From the start, it wasnโt an easy journey. In karting, weight and size matter, and being a bigger kid often meant things were harder. For a long time, despite training and putting in the work, podiums didnโt come. Sometimes progress felt slow, but quitting was never an option.
While other kids spent weekends playing or resting, I was getting up early to train and travel to tracks across Scotland. None of this would have been possible without my parents, especially my dad, who spent countless hours building, fixing and preparing everything so I could keep racing.
Over the years Iโve raced at tracks like Banff, Larkhall, Golspie and Crail. Crail is my home track and the place where I learned to race from the very beginning. Itโs also where Iโve had the most success so far.
This year everything started to come together. I achieved my first wins, finished second overall in the Summer Series and now became the Winter Season Champion.
This title means a lot. It represents years of hard work, patience and belief, even when results took time to come.
Proud to represent my hometown, my school and everyone who supported me before the wins arrived.
This is only the beginning.
