Panto for Grown Ups! PSP was founded in 2010 by Calum McVittie and Laura Archbold, two young amateur actors based in Largs, Ayrshire, with the aim of bringing a wide range of plays to a wider audience, performing in some unique venues that the west coast has to offer. Calum’s credits as an actor include: “Jean Michel” in La Cage Aux Folles, “Mickey” in Blood Brothers, “Kenneth Raglan” in Rope (all for Largs Players); “Eric” in An Inspector Calls and other one act comedies for Attic Players; many one act comedy players for Largs Players summer comedy season in recent years, and over 10 pantomimes for Largs Players, playing leading roles such as Buttons, Wishee Washee, Sinbad and more. Calum appeared as Lucky Eric in our production of Bouncers. Laura’s credits as an actor and director include: “Annelle” in Steel Mangolias, “Cecily” in the Importance of Being Earnest” and “Rita” in Paras Over the Barras (all for Largs Players); “Sheila Birling” in An Inspector Calls (Attic Players); appearances in eleven pantomimes for Largs Players in leading roles including The Good Fairy, and comedy duos; performing in Glasgow with GAMTA in pantomime; appearing in Largs Players’ one-act Festival plays including The Donaghue Sisters, and many summer theatre seasons in recent years. As a director, Laura has produced “Check, Please”, “Hard Candy” and “The Extraordinary Revelations of Orca the Goldfish” for Largs Players, and directed our production of Bouncers. Laura then went on to feature as Adele in our production of Shakers.
