Art Club is counting down to our Exhibition 2026 which runs from 16th to 19th July. 12 noon till 4pm daily. Keep it in mind as we’d love you to come visit us. Artwork on display from our 25/26 season. Our raffle this year is a super yummy food and drink hamper which I think you will love to win. There will be refreshments and nibbles available and a painting table for children ( or adults 🤗) Members of our club will be painting each day and you can get to know about the club and what it means to be a member. Something you might be interested in. We had a waiting list towards the end of our season but it will be open again for new members once we start again in September. So contact us if you want to put your name down. Cheers everyone. Keep painting 🤗🙏❤️🌺👌🧑‍🎨

Meet The Artist. Susanne Ferguson.

Hi, My name is Susanne Ferguson and I am an aspiring new artist based in Central Scotland. Born in Glasgow, I was brought up in the concrete and steel of Cumbernauld's brutalist architecture, a landscape that has influenced my early work. For several years I lived in the artistic hub of the East Neuk of Fife. This beautiful area has reimagined my creativity and it was during this time I completed my HND in Contemporary Art Practice in Dundee. I work in many mediums, oil, acrylic, printmaking and mixed media. Joining the art club last year when we moved back to this area has been a wonderful experience. I find inspiration in everything I see and do and through learning new skills and techniques.
Here are some examples of my work.

Meet The Artist Lesley McGuire

Hi
I’m Lesley
I have always loved drawing from school age, at 16 like most I left school to find a job, life got in the way and I’d doodle now and again pretty much like I do now.
I joined Falkirk District Art Club about 4 years ago and loved the group, I enjoyed seeing other artists at work with their different styles and techniques.
I like to draw with pencils for detail, pastels and enjoy charcoal as well, I have painted with acrylics and some of my work has been for friends or friends of friends, it’s just a lovely pastime for me and I really enjoy it.
My main preference is working with portraiture or animals, I find I revert back to these as landscape is ok but I like the challenge of trying to get a true likeness off my subjects, here are some examples of my work, I hope you like them 🤗✍🏻

We’re also delighted to be counting down to our Exhibition 2026, taking place from 16th–19th July, open daily from 12 noon to 4pm.

We hope you’ll be able to join us!

We’re officially on the countdown to our 2026 Exhibition!

Our members have been busy completing their work, and everything is already looking fantastic. We were delighted to welcome renowned artist Greer Ralston to the club on Monday evening, where she kindly critiqued members’ work and shared positive, constructive feedback throughout the session.

It was a great night enjoyed by all. Thank you, Greer 🙏🙏

Meet The Artist!
Angelene Perry

Hi, I'm Angelene Perry, a Dunipace-born artist. I specialise in botanical art where my work explores the delicate intersection between natural beauty and the complexity of human emotion. I often reimagine organic forms as vessels for deeper expression.
I've been with the art club for just under 2 years but was once a member 24 years ago!
Working across a variety of mediums such as ink, acrylic and watercolour—though most often returning to pencil—I try to bring a refined sensitivity to texture, tone, and detail while balancing precision with feeling.Through this approach, my art aims to move beyond traditional botanical study, instead offering a more introspective and emotive interpretation. Rooted in observation but driven by expression, my practice continues to evolve as a deeply personal exploration of form, fragility, and impermanence.
Here’s some examples.
