Sign up for the new and final season of The Wonder Club free monthly Saturday workshops for 13-18 year olds at Hove Museum of Creativity starting April 26th!

The Wonder Club is a creative programme designed with and for young people aged 13 to 18, offering an exploration of early filmmaking and experimental moving image techniques with artist Chahine Fellahi. Fuse analogue and digital, uncover the groundbreaking innovations of local filmmakers and rekindle the spirit of discovery, enchantment and innovation that marked the early days of cinema.

This is an exciting opportunity to experiment with techniques that led to contemporary filmmaking and contribute to exhibitions and events that will be taking place for the wider programme, Days of Wonder.

Spaces are limited so registering in advance is essential.

Thanks to Alexis Lazou, assistant curator for sharing the film and media archive with us during Wonder Lab. As well a wonderful public Magic Lantern demonstration l, Alexia gave the cohort of newly commissioned artists a deep dive into the museums collection held in Hove sharing unique source material and ephemera from the days of the pioneers✨

It’s been great to work with Screen Archive South East during the different iterations of Days of Wonder. Special thanks to Dr Frank Gray for all his incredible knowledge-sharing and infectious enthusiasm, especially during the recent Wonder Lab at Hove Museum.

We look forward to presenting an exhibition of new work inspired and influenced by the remarkable film and media collections held at Hove Museum of Creativity and Screen Archive South East.

Corridor and have commissioned four artists to work with the collections, resulting in an exhibition of new artworks, installed as interventions in the permanent exhibition galleries at Hove Museum of Creativity.

We’re delighted to be working with Sapphire Goss, Annis Joslin, Bella Okuya and Connor Turansky in this artist response to the project ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
