Read our interview with the BAFTA-winning writer of our Christmas show, Ian Kershaw! Ian's an experienced writer and director, having written for Coronation Street... and he's also directing Corrie star Harriet Bibby in My Name is Rachel Corrie (at the Dukes in November)!

Ian's version of Cinderella is one "for our time", where a tough and funny heroine rises to the challenge of winning against cruel odds. And of course, his fairytale will have all the sparkle and feel-good flair you'd expect from a Christmas extravaganza!

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, we're bringing you a very special screening of F. W. Murnau's Faust!

Neil Brand will be here to accompany the film with a live score, bringing the film to life in a thrilling immersive experience.

A classic tale of a man who sells his soul to the devil. In an attempt to gain control of the earth, Mephisto wagers an angel that he can corrupt the soul of the elderly professor Faust . As the Horsemen of the Apocalypse ride through the sky, Mephisto towers over Faust’s hometown, unleashing a plague that spreads amongst its inhabitants. Faust, unable to find a cure for the citizens dropping dead around him, renounces both God and science, invoking the aid of Satan through a mysterious book...

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT! 📢
THE UNCRACKABLE CASE

An egg is dead - was he pushed, did he jump, or was it simply a great fall?

Enter Jill, a filmmaker with big dreams and an ever bigger problem: she's on trial for eggicide. With B.B. Wolf defending her, Little Red out for blood and a courtroom messier than Jack and Jill's tumble down that hill, this case is gripping the nation.

Tabloid media, conspiracy theorists and familiar fairy-tale faces collide in The Uncrackable Case - a wild, hilarious musical that’s part courtroom comedy, part murder mystery and part musical fever dream.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT! 📢
THE ETERNAL SHAME OF SUE PERKINS

You may know her as Bake-Off Sue, Taskmaster Sue, Just A Minute Sue, or the Sue that gives you travel envy - but stand-up Sue is full of surprises.

In this show about stigma, humiliation and misunderstanding, Sue shares hilarious stories from behind the TV cameras.

What’s the fallout when your pituitary gland goes haywire on live TV? How do you convince the public you didn’t really fall onto that hoover attachment? And when intimate photos get splashed all over the internet, how do you switch the shame to dignity and joy?

Woodhill is coming to the Dukes this month!

Following a run at the Edinburgh Fringe, Woodhill is now touring the UK. Have a look at the glowing reviews for the "deeply elegant" play from Northern company LUNG Theatre.

Blistering movement and verbatim storytelling merge in this campaign piece about the fractured UK prison system. Come along and see the spectacle for yourself.
