Lancaster Music Festival - 8th - 11th October 2026 With a wide range of genres on offer, there’s something to suit everyone.

LANCASTER MUSIC FESTIVAL 10th -13th Oct 2024

Lancaster's award-winning Music Festival will be bringing top notch performances from local, national and international acts over 4 days. Expect plenty of live music performances in 50+ participating venues, which include many of your favourite pubs, cafes and shops throughout the city centre. Lancaster’s historic squares will be hosting youth stages,

dance performances and street theatre ensuring bags of variety and family fun. The vast majority of the festival is free to attend. A small number of other exclusive & exciting events may require a donation, entrance fee or advance booking. Further information on these events can be found on our website. Help us keep the Craic Inn dry this LMF! 🤩

The Craic Inn returns to the Storey Gardens at LMF 26, bringing with it its medley of folk music, array of beverages and top, top craic 🎶

This year, we're adding in a special session space for musicians to collaborate in, alongside The Craic Inn's usual stage. And we're aiming to keep both musicians and audience nice and warm and dry with some extra coverage...and even a yurt or two.

The family-friendly, free, outdoor events at LMF often feel like magic ❤

But that's not by chance. There's a whole employed team behind the scenes, working to make it happen - stage crews, musicians, producers and sound tech who we support and encourage 😊

As a predominantly free festival, we can only make this happen by asking our audience to donate a few quid or what is affordable. The Melodrome Mobile Stage will be up at Lancaster Castle for this year's festival and we're busy behind the scenes organising some great acts to delight and entertain you 🎶

📣 JOB OPPORTUNITY: FREELANCE DESIGNER 📣

Calling all aspiring graphic designers!

Thanks to funding from the Banks Lyon Memorial Trust, we are delighted to be able to offer a new job role working with the festival team this year.

Open to 18-25 year olds within the Lancaster District, the new paid freelance designer will work alongside our team and utilise LMF branding to help us get our info out in a creative, clear and fun fashion.
