Just a quick message for those who have been enquiring about recording recently.

I've only been able to take on a few small simple projects because I'm in desperate need of a PC upgrade for my DAW. My current system is teetering on the brink so rather committing to recording full bands only to run into issues and waste everyone's time, I thought it best to just wait until I have upgraded.

Hoping to have upgraded by later in the year though depending on finances but that's the plan.

I'll be sure to make people aware when I can take on more things in that respect, though.

The rehearsal studio is still available as always though and I'm hoping to make some upgrades to that side of things too if I can manage to do a little bit of fund raising!

Also, a reminder that we are open on Lanimer day as usual so if you fancy getting away from the madness for a few hours to make some of your own music, you can still do so! 🤘🏻

Can I just remind people to please try and give me 24 hours notice before cancelling a booking because when you don't, it leaves me no time to attempt to find somebody else and often I'm turning away other people, only for the band who booked it to cancel and the other people end up not needing it anymore. We just can't afford it. Not just rent to pay but there's other peripheral costs that all comes from the money we bring in from bookings.

I'll need to enforce a cancellation fee across the board and I hate doing it because I know things can happen but it's the only way. please don't book unless you're sure you want it and if you don't, please cancel as soon as you know but less than 24 hours is just too short for me to do anything about it most of the time and it's really frustrating when I've turned another band away who wanted it but then can't take it at such short notice.

********NOTICE*******

We've been made aware that there was vandalism to the greenhouses behind the location of the studio on Friday night (16/5)

This is a group dedicated to making the town look nicer, I'm sure on very limited resources, so why anyone would do this is beyond us but can we ask all users of the studio to be vigilant when they're in and report to us anything or anyone they find unusual.

In the meantime, we are installing additional external cameras to offer some protection, not just for our own area but also those behind us and if anything like this happens again, although I would hope it wouldn't, we will at least have the culprits on camera.
