The Lanarkshire District would like to take this opportunity to wish all of its members heading to the Royal Highland Show this week the very best of luck! 🍀

With members competing in Handicrafts, Photography, Craftsmanship, Stockjudging, Tug of War and some showing livestock from home - it is set to be a very busy week🐄🎨

Our keen stockjudgers have been putting in the work over the last few months at practises which were very ably convened by Jane Lindsay, and they are all eager to put their skill to work on Saturday in the Stockmanship Competition✏️🐑

The 4 qualifying teams from West Area Tug of War have also been putting in a power of work over the last 2 weeks with the final push and are ready to battle it out on Saturday afternoon - make sure to head along to the ring and cheer them all on📣

Finally, we would also like to wish all members from across SAYFC who are competing in any competition this week a massive good luck🍀

We hope our members have a fun, and safe, week🍻☀️⛺️

Happy Lanimers! 🎉

Today some of our members took part in the parade, representing Lanark Young Farmers and helping the Lanimers Committee. 😁

Safe to say the weather wasn’t exactly on our side but it was great day as always with plenty of laughs along the way. Well done to everyone who took part!💙

💙🌾 LESMAHAGOW SHOW 🌾💙

What a fantastic day for Lanark Young Farmers at Lesmahagow Show yesterday! Despite the unpredictable weather, spirits were high and we had an amazing time meeting so many people from the local community.

Our stand was packed with fun activities throughout the day, including our much-loved pet lambs, a delicious bake sale, colourful face painting and glitter tattoos, and an exciting raffle. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying everything on offer!

A huge THANK YOU goes to the King Family for kindly allowing us to bring along their two pet lambs for the day. They were undoubtedly the stars of the show and attracted visitors of all ages, quickly becoming a favourite with everyone who stopped by our stand. 🐑💙

We would also like to thank everyone who donated, purchased raffle tickets, enjoyed our sweet treats, had their faces painted, or simply came along to support us. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make the day such a success.🥹

Most importantly, thanks to your support, we were able to raise valuable funds for our chosen charity this year, OCHRE. Every contribution makes a difference, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us support such a worthwhile cause.🙌

Of course, no successful Young Farmers event would be complete without the committee celebrating afterwards! After a long day of fundraising, face painting, and lamb cuddling, the committee marked the occasion the only way they know how—with plenty of laughs and questionable dance moves 🍻

From all of us at Lanark Young Farmers, thank you for making Lesmahagow Show such a memorable day. We loved being part of the event and can’t wait to see everyone again at future shows and community events! 💙🌾🐑✨

💙🚜 RAVENSTRUTHER & CLEGHORN HALL FUN DAY 🚜💙

Lanark Young Farmers had a fantastic time attending the Ravenstruther and Cleghorn Hall Fun Day in support of Maggie’s.🧡🖤

A huge thank you to the organisers for inviting us along to such a brilliant community event. One of our main aims as a club is to get involved in and support our local community, so it was great to be part of the day.

A special thank you also goes to our member Sam, who brought along a tractor for the children to explore. It was a big hit, with lots of young visitors enjoying the chance to sit in the driver’s seat! 🚜

Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the event. We had a great day and look forward to getting involved in more community events in the future. 💙🌾

💙🚜Callander and District Mock Auction🚜💙

Tonight, a few of our members went along to Callander and District Young Farmers Club Mock Auction!

This year we were paired by the West District Committee with the aim of getting to know more people and gain club relationships across our region!

It was a great night with a fabulous turn out! 🙌 A big THANK YOU for having us!

It was also a clean sweep for team Lanark with 3 of our members placing in the young farmers section! 🏆🧹
