Wild Lakes Wales Stoked Restaurant have taken some brilliant photos of the roundhouse frame that we have just finished making for them, which are much appreciated, thank you 👍😀 We thoroughly enjoyed this project, such enthusiasm and hospitality from everyone down in Narberth...the day after we finished our part, they have already started paving inside, and putting the green sedum roof on! What a week! First henges on this 12m roundhouse are up. The team are loving working on site with the Wild Lakes crew. Lovely people and a fantastic site with all sorts of adventure sports (bouldering, wakeboarding, wipeout and more). Great week watch this space for the next stage!

We just had a lovely week, putting Lynn and Gary's kitchen extension frame up. It was our newest apprentice member (also called Jamie!)'s first Ty Pren build, she's produced some great work in this project, we've all been impressed🙂 Smiley has also been with us over the summer including this project -he just missed out on the photo days😆 We wish him well on his travels. There was a little bit of stone wall wrangling involved today, it was a tight squeeze with some outhouse brickwork but it all came good in the end!!
Rhydym ni wedi cael wythnos hyfryd, gan adeiladu ffrâm estyniad cegin Lynn a Gary. Jamie (Jamie arall!) yw ein prentis newydd, mae hi wedi cynhyrchu gwaith gwych yn y prosiect hwn🙂 Mae Smiley hefyd, wedi bod gyda ni dros yr haf, gan gynnwys y prosiect hwn - dim ond nad oedd e yma ar ddiwrnodau'r lluniau😆 Dymunwn lwyddiant iddo ar ei deithiau. Roedd ychydig o wasgu/ pwytho rhwng brics y tŷ tu allan ond daeth popeth yn dda yn y diwedd!!

Update: we've almost finished framing for this current job with our new apprentice Jay who's been absolutely brilliant and very quick to learn.

We expect to be raising in a week or two so stay tuned, more updates to follow

Here are a couple of recent smaller barn buildings...The one with the roof on, is on a beautiful flower business One Planet Development on The Gower (no pictures of that, sorry!) Half of the barn frame was in storage for 2 years, whilst plans changed, and we managed to re-purpose it into its' current incarnation -nothing wasted here! It is also worth mentioning the role that the Ecological Land Co-op have had in helping the OPD plans along; they are trying to do a similar thing in England to the One Planet Development in Wales.

Mae'r un gyda'r to ar fusnes blodau hardd, Datblygiad Un Blaned ar Benrhyn Gŵyr (dim lluniau ohono, mae'n ddrwg gen i!) Roedd hanner ffrâm yr ysgubor mewn storfa am 2 flynedd, tra bod y cynlluniau'n newid, a llwyddon ni i ailddefnyddio'r strwythur i'w wneud yn ei ffurf bresennol - dim gwastraff yma!
Mae hefyd yn werth sôn am y Cydweithfa Tir Ecolegol; fe wnaethon nhw helpu gyda chynlluniau'r DUB; maen nhw'n ceisio gwneud rhywbeth tebyg yn Lloegr i Ddatblygiad Un Blaned yng Nghymru.

Some pictures from Ty Pren's workshop that we ran this year at Glastonbury festival, where participants got to try their hand at creating a small timber framed structure, using traditional techniques and hand tools. Great turnout, and the example frame went together nicely 👍

We have just finished this One Planet Development (OPD) house frame for our good friend Tony, who worked with Ty Pren in the early days...he's finally getting his house! Good luck Tony and Jane, with the rest of it!😃💪🔨🪚🪜😍

Updates on the 10 meter by 30 meters mega barn that we delivered and erected for Ffynonne community resilience. Finishing(after frame construction) credit goes to Adam Newman construction LTD and John Allen plus many other important workers that we were lucky to have on the team.
