Dementia is not just about memory loss. This is our third key message and our for you today.

When most people hear the word dementia, they think of memory loss. While it does often start by affecting the short-term memory, many other functions of the brain can be affected by dementia - including motor skills, language, and vision. This means that people living with dementia may struggle with everyday tasks like following a conversation, using a bank card or making a cup of tea.

By understanding that dementia is more than memory loss, we are able to provide the most appropriate support.
