Palace Players

Palace Players Palace Players Drama Club is an amateur drama club based in Kirkwall, Orkney. Palace Players are a friendly and informal fun oriented amateur drama club.

We are based at the Orkney Arts Studio on Junction Road, Kirkwall, which is a large storage and rehearsal facility where we meet. Palace Players produce a pantomime biennially and usually enter the the SCDA festival, we also put on sporadic productions. We will always welcome new members to the club whether you are interested in acting, directing or helping out backstage with props, costumes, make

up or scenery. So if you interested in theatre and would like to get involved or find out more about the club please contact us. We'll be very pleased to hear from you!

We’re delighted to offer our fellow competitors a hand alongside other Orkney clubs.

We know just how stressful it can be transporting heavy scenery across the country, and it’s always brilliant to see the “community” in SCDA shine bright! ✨ 🎭

"The show must go on" say those competing in this week's SCDA festival as Orkney's drama community pulls together to help visiting teams who will be arriving in the county without their scenery.
