ORKNEY CLUB SNOOKER LEAGUE
Entries are now open for the Orkney Club Snooker League.
If you wish to play in the snooker league please comment below or contact Erik Firth on 07549688306 before Friday 25th September.

The league will run October to March with games to be arranged between players themselves.
Format of league will be decided once number of entries is confirmed.

Shaun Spence does Bicentenary double.

The final of the Orkney club bicentenary pool competition was played on Sunday 23rd August. A repeat of the snooker final saw Shaun Spence and Leonard Mowatt battle it out once more for the special bicentenary trophy.

It was Shaun who took the honours, completing the Bicentenary snooker and pool double.

Thank you to everyone who took part to n a competition played in good spirit!

Orkney Club Bicentennial Snooker Competition

Tuesday 28th July saw the Shaun Spence and Leonard Mowatt battle it out in the final of the Orkney Club Bicentennial Snooker competition.
Sixteen players entered the competition which saw some closely contested games which saw Shaun progress past Jack Moddie, Erlend Grieve and Magnus Drever to secure his place in the final whilst Leonard defeated Steven Walls, Colin Risbridger and Kenny Scott on his to the showdown with Shaun.
The final, played over the best of 9 frames, saw Shaun (pictured left) edge Leonard (pictured right) out to clinch the prestigious trophy and become part of Orkney Club snooker history.

The competition was played in great spirit, bringing together players of all ages and ability, continuing the resurgence of snooker as a competitive sport within the club. Well done Shaun, very well deserved !

Friday 24th July saw 10 hardy Orkney Club members battle the rain to compete in the Orkney Club Bowls. The format was a team event with a mixtures of pairs and triples. Sneaking the win in the final were Billy Johnston, Ally Bruce and Stevie Burns.
Big thank you to Billy for organising and Kirkwall Bowling Club for hosting us. Well done to everyone who took part, great fun had by all.
