Cleaning up these filthy quoins today. Restoration can often be the less glamorous side of what I do at the printworks.

We're planning to reopen on Saturday 18th July 2026. Please feel free to come along and see what we've been up to. 😁

The Printworks refurbishment is coming along very nicely indeed!

Great thanks to David Calder and his army of hard working people including Pwi plastering, Rodney from Thomson and Dunbar, Tom Mclaclan Painters, Iain Hall Plumbing and Heating, and Ronnie from Deeside DIY Supplies.

David has project managed the whole process and made everything come together so very well. 👏

We're nearly there aside from lots and lots of cleaning and restoring everything that got damaged during the flood. 😁 We're hoping to be open again by the end of June.

We are now members of the "Association of Independent Museums (AIM)". An organisation that I've been involved with in the past when I did my masters in Museum Studies.

I've been a fan of their "Hallmarks" framework for many years which gives some great guidance on best practice for small independent museums.
