A Celebration of Trad New Orleans, Dixieland and Swing Jazz in South Wes It will be on display over the Festival period.

The 23rd annual festival in this unique small Scottish town will endeavour to maintain the high musical standards set by previous festivals. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy top class and highly professional artistes, some on a first time visit, as well as some returning favourites, ensuring that the festival caters for jazz lovers of all ages who appreciate quality as well as variety in the

ir entertainment. Held from Thursday, 14th to Sunday, 17th October 2021, it is a great time to visit this least populated area of Dumfries & Galloway, only an hour’s drive north of Carlisle. It is known as “The Artists town” because, like St Ives in Cornwall, it has that special kind of light, particularly at sunset, which attracted and continues to attract many successful artists to live and work in the region. The 2021 Festival has a programme of bands and groups, some new to Kirkcudbright, some making a welcome return and featuring international and national musicians, playing a varied selection of hot, swinging, toe-tapping music which should appeal to a wide audience. An additional attraction this year is an opportunity to see the Galloway Viking Horde on display in the Kirkcudbright Galleries. Kirkcudbright Jazz Festival is looking for B and B for the musicians for 3 nights 12th - 15th June. If you can offer any help by accommodating 1 or 2 band members then please contact Louise Finch on [email protected] as soon as possible. We are able to help with expenses.

This is the announcement that you have been waiting for. We are going ahead with a reduced 3 day Festival in Kirkcudbright from Friday 12th June to Sunday 14th June subject to securing accommodation for the bands.
