I found this book in a few weeks ago which got me thinking about chairs in their many forms. I canā€™t believe how well the final exhibition with Visual Arts Scotland came together. Particular shout outs to , and for such gorgeous craftsmanship as well as and for creating such complimentary wall-based works which completely transform the space.

Compositional study for

I wanted to work out what exactly I wanted to capture from my trip, and how it would all fit together on the canvas. There are many things I wished to change after completing this study so it certainly doesnā€™t give too much away when looking at my WIP in front of me now. Looking forward to sharing the finished piece when itā€™s done and to get stuck in to the selection process along side , and the team.

looking closely at the quirks hiding in amongst the natural landscape. Branches forming X shapes or constricted and meshed with the manmade. Circles of pebbles and rock debris forming a kaleidoscope of colour. As a guest curator for this exhibition I want to see these glimmers of personality in the landscapes chosen for submission.
