What a wonderful occasion. The orchestra surpassed themselves today in our summer concert. We had a wonderfully supportive audience of all ages too. Can’t wait to start rehearsing some new tunes next term!

We have just had the penultimate rehearsal before our concert next Sunday 14th at Milton of Balgonie Hall at 6pm. It’s sounding great! Come and hear what we’ve been up to this term - there’s a raffle and food and drink afterwards. What’s not to like!

The orchestra smashed our new tunes yesterday! Excellent first read through of Eleanor Rigby, Vivaldi Spring, Les Miserables and a wee reel. We get better and better! Lots to look forward to at the concert on June 14th.

A great end to our Easter term on Sunday. We played all of our repertoire- we have nearly an hour of wonderful music. We then shared a lovely lunch and challenged ourselves with a music quiz. Looking forward to new challenges in the summer and maybe a few more folk joining us…?

🎻 Wemyss String Orchestra – New Members Welcome! 🎶

We’re a small, friendly group of musicians who simply love playing together.

Currently we have violins, viola and cello, and we’d love to welcome anyone who plays a string instrument and would enjoy coming along to join us.

We take our music seriously – but not ourselves! There’s always plenty of laughter alongside the rehearsing. It’s a relaxed, supportive atmosphere where we encourage each other and enjoy making music together.

🗓 We meet every second Sunday
⏰ 10:30am for around 2 hours

Whether you’ve not played in a while or you’re already confident and just looking for a local group, you’d be very welcome.
