"Sociograss is a five piece band of musicians based in Edinburgh, Scotland.Come together under a shared love of American roots music the band has been well known on the Scottish scene for years now becoming a regular fixture at Scottish music festivals and hosting jams in Edinburgh and around the country. The band formed when guitarist and singer Tim Leslie of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania found himself for the first time in Edinburgh and chancing upon members of Dundee band Wire and Wool. Finding musical harmony between them and a passion for the music of Appalacia the group was soon after joined by fiddle player Ben Errington of Auld Reekie String Band, and later Conal McIntosh, on double bass."

“Kiruna’s greatest band of all time”
It has taken far too long, but at long last, Kiruna's greatest band of all time, W***y Clay Band, stood once again on Debaser's stage. The venue was packed to capacity with traveling fans and expatriate Kiruna residents, creating an atmosphere of both nostalgia and anticipation. The evening was kicked off by Norrtälje band Sixpack Holiday. Sixpack also toured as an opening act for W***y Clay during the bands' early careers. Lead singer Björn Pettersson alternated the band's well-composed songs with some amusing tour anecdotes. When W***y Clay Band takes the stage to kick off the first song of the evening, a technical problem occurs. However, the band's lead singer, Tony Björkenvall, handles it immediately, joking about the situation, and within a minute the show is finally underway. The crowd is engaged from the very first note, and it is clear that many have longed to see W***y Clay Band live again. In the middle of the set, lead singer Tony Björkenvall shared a personal anecdote about his youth in Kiruna, when he saw the band Sky High at the classic Malmia. When he mentioned that Louise Hoffsten provided the vocals at the time, the audience guessed what was about to happen. The cheers erupted when Louise Hoffsten herself stepped out on stage. She started off with her gritty harmonica playing in the song "Give a little," and her guest appearance across two songs became one of the strongest moments of the night. She left the stage to the audience's rhythmic chanting of "Louise, Louise, Louise!", which gave everyone goosebumps.W***y Clay consists of highly skilled musicians, and in combination with an obvious joy of being back on stage, I don't think anyone in the audience went home disappointed. The band traditionally treats the crowd to two encores, but yesterday the energy was so high that they squeezed in three whole songs, and we thank them for that. Before stepping off, they made a promise to the audience: "It won't be ten years before we play in Stockholm again." After yesterday's success, we can only hope they keep that promise. W***y Clay Band is not only Kiruna's greatest band of all time – they are also one of the most important voices in Swedish americana/country rock, and yesterday they proved why.

Efter flera års frånvaro eldade W***y Clay Band upp Debaser i Stockholm med en kraftfull konsert fylld av nostalgi, överraskningar och förnyad spelglädje.
