A tiny trio has arrived ๐Ÿฃ

Our Himalayan monals have become first time parents, welcoming three adorable chicks to their home in Wildcat Wood!

Though they are the most colourful pheasant species in the world, famous for their dazzling rainbow plumage and metallic sheen, chicks are actually light-brown until they are around one year old ๐ŸŽจ

Can you spot all three chicks on your next visit? ๐Ÿ‘€

Double the fluff, double the excitement ๐Ÿพ

Koshi and Pari have welcomed two adorable little snow leopard cubs, the first born at the park in four years!

The twins are currently snuggled up in their den with mum so you won't be able to spot them just yet, but keep an eye out as they start exploring the world over the coming weeks.

We'll be sure to keep you updated every step of the way ๐Ÿ’™

Meet Cuthbert, June's Animal of the Month! ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‚

Named after the famous caterpillar cake (along with his brother Colin), Cuthbert is a gentle, easy-going yak who loves spending time with his herd.

Whether he's peacefully grazing, following the camels home each evening, or thrashing browse with his horns, he's always a pleasure to watch๐Ÿ’™

A wolf's sense of smell is thought to be up to 100 times stronger than a human's ๐Ÿบ

They can pick up scent trails from miles away and use smell to identify other wolves, locate potential prey and even gather information about what's happening in their environment. Their noses are so sensitive that they can detect scents we would never even notice!

You can spot Merrick, Storr, Beinn and Chonzie having a good sniff in Wolf Wood here at the park ๐ŸŒฒ

This weekend we were delighted to host the first Cairngorms Environmental Volunteers Festival at the park as part of Volunteers' Week ๐Ÿฉต

Bringing together volunteers and organisations from across the Cairngorms, the day was packed with learning, connection and celebration. From our BioBlitz and volunteer discussions to meeting new people and sharing experiences, it was fantastic to see so many passionate individuals coming together for nature.

A huge thank you to Cairngorms National Park, RSPB and everyone who joined us and helped make the day such a success. We left feeling inspired, with new friendships formed and stronger networks to support environmental volunteering across the Cairngorms ๐Ÿ—ป๐ŸŒฒ
