Now this is a good one for you.

Very poor manufacturing from Sony! All pads lifted and come away from board. Pads fine but the coated paint had come away from the copper which is not meant to happen.

Hello everyone,

You have a big problem if you APU looks like this, I had this in last night and this was an overheating issue. (Not surprised)!

The red spot is where the Liquid Metal had evaporated. The console can not be repaired because it had killed the APU.

Just for info only - all consoles should be serviced once a year to stop this happening.

If you look at the IC it has had a burn going through the chip. Worked out the dock station had put a surge through the board.

Repaired and had a very happy customer this morning.
