Evening all,

People who know me know I do The Grinch across our area at Christmas time but last weekend he came out earlier than normal and I ran the Beverley Half Marathon dressed The Grinch for my mate Martin Chadburn!! 💙

Wow what a race that was, it was hard I ain’t going to lie wearing that suit really took its toll!!!🥵🥵🥵🥵 but manage to get 1hr 44 which i surprised myself.

I am raising money to put towards a memorial for Martin who was tragically taken away from us far too early, earlier this year. We are at £970 with online and cash donations and want to get over £1000 so if you can donate anything you can afford I would appreciate it.

Thank you to everyone that commented on which charity to raise money for next year but we can only pick one to be our main one..

So we have picked it out at random and the main charity we are raising money for is Chasing Rainbows Registered Charity we are so happy to be raising money for another fantastic charity.

Chasing Rainbows is a Hull based charity with a rising National profile founded in 2019 and registered in 2020. The charity is dedicated to supporting families experiencing baby loss and infertility

What a journey it’s been! After the excitement, the fun, and the community spirit at Burstwick Party in the Park 2026, the moment arrived to count the donations—and the result is simply incredible.

Thanks to every one of you who showed up and gave your support, we’ve raised a staggering £7,521.35. This generosity will be shared with three wonderful causes:

70% Mysterious minds receiving £5,264.94
15% Burstwick Village Hall with £1,128.20
15% Friends of Burstwick School also getting £1,128.20

It’s a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together. And of course, a huge thank you goes to the sponsors—without your support, none of this would have been possible.

Burstwick Party in the Park 2026 may be over, but the impact will be felt for a long time. I Love you all!
