I'm sad to say, that unfortunately I've only just heard from the company that's in the unit, that was offered me, for Hull Active Community, has decided not to close down and is staying put and that no one dealing with the unit, had bothered to let me know, so now I need to find somewhere else to hold the activities and that I have just contacted someone about a unit, which I know is vacant and I'm waiting to hear back from them.

As Hull Active Community is a proposed community project and as such, applications for funding to cover any rental costs, can only be applied for, by existing projects, as well as businesses or if any project aim can be offered prior to a project starting up, is why the unit has been offered, to use as a venue for activities and is why I'm hoping to find donations of craft equipment and materials to support free activities and toys, for a children's playzone and furnishings for the venue and as I'm hoping that HAC, will eventually become a community project, I need to find out what types of funding HAC could apply for later down the line.

Please help me to raise funds to support the setting up of creative activities.

My dream since 2018, has been to setup the creative project, Hull Active Community, which unfortunately fell short of becoming a Social Enterprise, at the suggestion of the DWP, which had offered a grant from it's Enterprise Allowance scheme, so to have HAC up and running by May 2020, when the Covid19 outbreak put a stop to everything, including the cancellation of the scheme.

Anyway as I'd hoped that HAC would give people and projects, the chance to setup and run creative activities, within a central base, as well as offering them on a larger scale, by taking them out into the wider communities of the city, as well as setting up a shop selling not only donated goods, but crafts, produced by HAC's members, to raise funds towards supporting either free activities or if not needed, any extra costs and depending on a size of property that could be found, stalls for a community market, for the selling of locally produced goods, including handmade crafts and homemade products, produced by small businesses, existing and new.

The plan also included finding caterers to setup a community cafe and childcare workers to setup a creche, both which would be run as an independent businesses.

But as HAC is a proposed project, funding to cover any rental costs, could only be applied, by existing projects or if any aim is already being offered.

And so as large two storey commercial unit in Hull, has been offered for an unspecified amount of time, on a rent free basis, to use as a venue for creative activities, as well as events, which will run under the banner of Hull Active Community, I'm looking for activities, that can be offered for free or if not, a fee will be charged, which will support any extra costs.

The activities which will run within the venue, will hopefully continue within a future hub.

And as caterers can offer to setup a cafe, I will be inviting caterers to get involved.

So during the unit's use, I will be applying for funding to cover rental costs, as I may need to find a permanent home for HAC and as I will only be able to proceed with any applications, once the activities are up and running, I'm am needing to find existing creative activities, that will be run within the venue, during it's use, but as I will also need to furnish the venue and possibly provide craft equipment and materials, I'm wondering if anyone can offer activities or knows of any suitable for ages, from the Hull area, that could offer activities or know of any support in obtaining furniture and toys for a children's playzone, as well as craft equipment and materials and if you know of any funding, that I'd be able to apply, for once the venue is up and running, please can you let me know asap, as I need to get things moving.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post and I'm looking forward to hearing from anyone, interested in being involved.
