Join me this evening for WORDS FROM THE WOLDS; a warm and entertaining evening of stories from local writers.

Join us at Sancton Village Hall for a warm and welcoming evening of stories, memories, poetry and humour from local writers.

Our writers have been preparing a wonderfully varied selection of work to share, and we would love to have you in the audience.

Now we are delighted to launch The Sancton Miscellany, Volume Two — a new collection of stories from the Sancton Writers’ Circle.

At Words from the Wolds, some of the writers will be sharing their work in person, and you will have the chance to pick up your own copy of Volume Two on the night.

Fancy doing something creative tomorrow morning?

If you have ever thought, “I’d like to try writing, but I wouldn’t know where to start,” this is for you.

Come along to a relaxed and friendly Creative Writing Workshop at Sancton Village Hall tomorrow morning. No experience needed, no pressure to read aloud, and absolutely no need to have written anything before.

This week we’ll be writing stories through letters, diary entries and secret messages — a lovely way into character, mystery and imagination. You’ll be given gentle prompts and will leave with the beginning of a new piece of writing.

We’ll also be celebrating the arrival of The Sancton Miscellany Volume 2, featuring work by members of the group.

📚✨ Sancton Writers’ Circle: Unboxing Volume 2 & The Art of Letters! ✉️📦

I am so excited for next Tuesday’s session at Sancton Village Hall! 🥳

First up, we have a proper milestone to celebrate: the printed copies of The Sancton Miscellany Volume 2 have arrived, and we will be doing the big unboxing together! 📖🎉 It is going to be wonderful seeing everyone’s published work in print.

For the rest of the morning, we will be diving into epistolary writing 💌. We will look at how to build gripping stories using letters, diary entries, and secret correspondence; as always, you will leave with a brand new piece of writing you have started during the session ✍️.

Whether you have been writing for years or are a complete beginner looking to try something new, you will be very welcome 🤗.

🗓️ When: Tuesday 14th July, 9:30am – 12:00pm - Sancton Village Hall

💰 Cost: £10 for the session (tea, coffee, and biscuits by donation ☕️🍪)
