Not in a pot yet but loving the shape this rowan is taking on. Its growth has been incredible this year, wish I had a ‘before’ photo - it was like a couple centimetres with barely any root.

Succulent Cacti planter made from a white stoneware and layered with local boulder clay. I originally made this as a bonsai training pot - they’re usually ugly plastic pots. But I happened to buy a selection of succulent and cacti haha. Guna need repotting faster than I thought though.

I struggled initially with this plant - cant for the life of me find it’s name :-/ - had it in the windowsill but it actually wanted that very specific need for a ‘bright shaded spot’ ☀️☁️. Looking much much happier now!

I real love this pot combined with this aloe - I believe it’s an aloe oik hybrid? It has flowered the past couple years too. This pot was the first time I reclaimed a homemade mix of clays. It was super dry and crumbly during the making which you can see in the finished piece I think.

Cactus (pleated cactus I think?) standing out in the sun this morning. The pot is stoneware with a really light brush of white glaze to highlight texture.

This year got away from me a little bit and I haven’t really made any plant pots. But I had a lot I hadn’t sold so this year I’ve focussed on potting them up and enjoying them myself. This cactus was part of a group that were really suffering and now it’s thriving! I’m going to try and share more of my pots potted up over the coming weeks/months or whenever I get a chance.

It has felt like a long time since I was in the studio making plant pots. Life got really busy, changing jobs and then got caught up in not one but two exhibitions! Managed to find some time during the winter to slow down and enjoy the low light and look forward to start up again when the times right. Hope everyone is keeping well and find time to rest this winter 🖤💚

It’s really difficult to capture this and I don’t think these have done it justice but I’m so happy how this turned out. I inherited this spruce last year. I personally wouldn’t have styled it in the S curve style, but I’m going with it and excited to see how it goes. Hopefully it’ll grow a lot in this pot! It’s made from stoneware covered with unprocessed clay from Mappleton beach - stones included! I slapped some white slip on the as well.

It's been a minute since I've made a pot! Life kind of took over from late summer! Finally got around to firing a couple I had already bisque fired.

Stoneware, unglazed on the inside with plenty of drainage.

Finally got around to repotting these cacti 🌵

Not had time to do any making at all recently. I made this one a few months back with a new clay I picked up - I think it was called ‘Industrial Crank’.

It’s feeling autumnal so maybe it’s not the best time for repotting? I managed to do it without disturbing the roots much so should be ok. I love how long and weird they look!
