We are committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring that t

heatre is affordable and accessible for all. We will set fire to your expectations of what a night at the theatre can be. Our artist development programme, Reverb, ensures that artists in Hull are given top-class development opportunities across disciplines, without having to leave the city. The UK government has approved the EHRC’s Code of Practice on how service providers should treat trans people following last year’s Supreme Court ruling on the meaning of “sex” in the Equality Act.

Unless MPs reject it before the end of June, the code will become statutory guidance and effectively segregate trans and gender non-conforming people from public spaces and services.

Please write to your MP and ask them to sign Early Day Motion 240, which will reject the code of practice.

An online tool from Trans+ Actual, Trans Solidarity Alliance and Scottish Trans is available to make this easier by simply entering your postcode (see comment), or you can write to your MPs direct asking them to sign the EDM.

Trans people will always be welcome in Middle Child spaces.
