Summer holiday puppetry fun in Bungay! 🧜‍♀️ Join us for tales of the deep as Anna and Frances perform their ocean based puppet show, Mermarella, Cinderella of the Sea. Come along and bear witness to her salty adventures on 1st August at Black Shuck Festival

Stick around for our beautiful Indian dancing marionette, Saraswati who will be joining Anna to charm young and old with her traditional Rajasthani folk dance.

Puppet of the Month 💫 Today we’re saying hi to Anna and… Mickey Mouse! Another Pelham Puppet from the Indigo Moon Theatre vaults.

Founded in 1947, Bob Pelham’s marionette string puppets evolved from toy donkeys he created whilst stationed in Germany during WW II. Known as the ‘Wonky Donkey Officer’, in 1947, he founded Wonky Toys, Ltd. And, with the advice and help from his team, family and puppeteers, Jan Bussell and Ann Hogarth, Pelham Puppets was born. The originals were made from reused materials, with hand sawn limbs and hand sewn clothes!

In the early 1950’s, a licence was acquired to create Disney character puppets, the first of which was Mickey Mouse. The design was so popular it continued to be produced well into the 1970s, albeit later versions had plastic components.

Indigo Moon Theatre’s, Gaby Gulliver’s Travels reimagines Jonathan Swift’s classic novel with a little girl leading us on a journey through time and space.

With shadow puppets, acting and an original musical score, this is a must see children’s show for families this summer.

Follow Gaby as she explores how it feels to be BIG or small. How will she treat the tiny people when she's a GIANT? How can she survive when she's a tiny person herself? Will she ever find her way home, and will her experiences change how she feels about the world she left behind?
