Just a quick update

We are looking to be open a week tomorrow we have cleared most of the stuff out the arcade that was stored in it why we haven’t been open. Some of bits to move out then still. test the games and set them up.

We will be charging £7 per person for adults and children during January then it will be £10 adults and £7 under 16’s. During January we will be building a bigger counter and sorting some other things.

First of all merry Christmas to everyone. Hope you all have a wonderful day and Santa brings you lots of presents. Let’s not forget about those who are no longer with us or those who may be alone this Christmas.

Second we finally have our new lease. We are sorry we didn’t get open when we hoped. I’ve personally been doing a few courses like level 3 first aid, level 2 fire awareness, cctv and my SIA badge so that took up 4/5 weeks.

We have til the end of this month as a rent free period. Some stuff that belongs to the shopping centre is in the arcade which needs to be moved so we can at least get open as before. If anyone is free Sunday 28th to help move some stuff it would help get open asap. Payment in the form of free entry for couple of months 😂

Really sorry that we are not open yet 😢one thing I want to mention is about our non working games that we have had in storage.

These games are now in the same unit the arcade is in. Our plan is to go through each one to find out if it’s worth or possible to get fixed. Those games that are either to expensive or parts are hard to find will be sold as is. Maybe break down for parts. The ones that can be fixed will be at the back with a chance for people to vote which one to get working first. Obviously when we have some spare money it will go towards getting that game working. We may put a donation box for people to help towards getting them working quicker.

How it started 👌

This is where arcade hub started in a rented garage near a friends house. This is Adam very old friend of arcade hub owner lee. He stored our first machine (operation thunderbolt) then we got a couple more. We use to run a 30ft extension lead from his house to his garage. One day the dog you can see came for a play. He was a nasty player and we don’t like certain dogs. Ended up stuck until the dog warden came 😂

Right gamers a quick update on us selling alcohol.

After speaking to licensing and the police licensing department we will have to put certain restrictions in place for us to sell alcohol. This means certain days or certain times we will only be able to allow over 18’s in so the following days/ times are what we are looking at doing

Thursday- 3pm-9pm ( deals on entry possible)
Friday- 3pm-11pm ( over 18’s only )
Saturday- 10am-11pm ( no under 18’s after 6pm)
Sunday- 10am-11pm (no under 18’s after 6pm)

School holidays will be
Tuesday-10am-6pm
Wednesday 10am-6pm
Thursday 10am-9pm
Friday 10am-11pm (no under 18’s after 6pm)

No alcohol will be sold during times when under 18’s are allowed in the premises

We hope everyone understands that we need to do this it’s the only way forward for us to be able to sell alcohol

Our twin Nintendo cabinet has 1 nes classics in castlevania & super mario bros. Such a unique design one of my personal favourite cabinets mainly because it’s not that heavy actually 😂
