I enjoy using ♻️ reclaimed and 🌳 sustainably sourced timber 🪵 as much as possible. Where Sustainable choices are at heart, from using paper-based packaging on all orders. I am from Yorkshire, UK and I started my business HumberWoodCreations in the autumn of 2023. Wher

e I am based close to the Humber Estuary. My woodwork journey started when I left rehab for alcohol addiction whereby, I started my sobriety. I volunteered at an alcohol support service running an Upcycling group. This involved wood, I then started making things. After that I ended up volunteering at a wood recycling company which I also made things there. Whilst at these two places I started making things at home for me, or gifts for friends and family. It all went from there. I am now nearly 10 years sober. I still struggle with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and many mental health issues but making things is my therapy. I enjoy doing craft fairs and commissions. Thank you for looking and reading this if you have got this far. Wish you all the best,

🎃 Pumpkin shaped chopping board
♻️ Made from an unsed offcut of Oak kitchen worktop.

Dimensions
37.3cm x 31.5cm x 27mm

Finished with Vector&Grain Chopping Board Wax
Made in the UK out of:
Beeswax
Mineral Oil
Carnauba Wax

Before I used the finish. I sanded smooth then wet the wood, left to dry and sanded smooth again. This raises the wood grain and sanding removes what raises. Limiting the amout of wood grain that raises after its first use and cleaned wipe down. Aiming for a smoother finish over its life.

Some recent workshop makes 🔨 in the past few days. Some more suited items for this time of year in comparison to my last post of Border Collie Christmas Tree Decorations 🎄

Yes i know these Halloween 🎃 items are more basic cheapo stuff in my eyes but thats the whole point.

✉️Message away if interested in any of them OR want something made. My ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome 🤒 is not ideal currently so it would give me a good reason to get in my workshop.

There will around 19 small local businesses to have a look and maybe support. Aswell see what .mind have to offer or donate to.

Mental health is a major part of my life unfortunately with my complex issues. So this event definitely means more to me to have the opportunity to be at and donate to the charity to be able to have a stall.

Each event I have been doing this year i have been having a resuced to clear section, as I know money is tight. So I have items ranging from £4 and upwards today.

Out of clarity i only made £1 at my last event after stall fee and bus fairs.

Hope you are all well and not too sunburnt.

HumberWoodCreations will be attending TIC Summer Fair TIC Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire at Holderness House on Holderness Road opposite The Bank Hull pub (HU8 8QX) access via Laburnum Avenue on Sunday 7th of June 10am-2pm.

New stock of items i have made recently aswell as a mass Clearance Sale of old stock.

I look forward to seeing you there. Let me know in the comments below if you plan on coming aswell as tell me on the day that you saw my post please.
