Finally made a start at the weekend on my embroidery! I've been making the weekly trip to to collect the Disney Cross Stitch magazine, and after already getting up to issue 18, I'm getting a little behind now with the stitching side of it - the photo shows what you do in issue 1 😂

A fabulous, sparkly card for a fabulous, sparkly lady! I made this last week for my boyfriend's sister's Birthday; I wanted to experiment with a few different techniques for this. I added clear embossing powder to the patterned paper using a stencil which really lifted the background to another level. Something else I wanted to experiment with were my new Nuvo Stone Drops which I added to the small martini and the heels 🤩 Can't wait to use them again with different methods!

This is the first embroidery pattern I have created to this extent of detail and it has definitely been adapted as I have gone along. I particularly enjoyed adding the Wheatear stitch onto it to fill some of the spaces with subtlety 🌱 I hope you enjoy stitching it as much as I have xx

Tried my hand at a crocheted coaster using normal and jute string, inspired by the example in the DK crochet book. It's slightly larger than the normal size as this is for a plant pot to sit on 🌿 Got a few more to make... because I have a lot of plants!! Watch this space...

This sideboard cabinet has been a real labour of love to build! It's got to be the hardest flat pack I have built to date, and obviously I can't take all the credit myself! My lovely other half Owen provided the brains AND brawn 😆 I honestly think I'm nearly there with completing my craft and sewing room; it will be so great to have a place to focus and create in 💜
