Find a small showcase of Anna Ventura’s small ceramic pieces and cards!

ABOUT
Anna Ventura studied a combined degree of Fine Arts and Graphic Design at the University of Barcelona, and in 2010, she moved to Devon to complete her degree with a final project in Illustration at The University of Plymouth. This unique career path gave Anna her flare, a mix of knowledge and techniques in classic Arts, as well as deep understanding of computer design to apply to any modern art project. However in 2022 she was diagnosed with a degenerative spinal cord condition and developed a tremor that put her artist career on hold. However, to keep her tremors at bay, she started attending ceramic classes and developed a passion for it.

Although Anna is currently retraining and working in accounting, she has also set up a private working studio (Garden Mill Studio) where she spends her spare time creating in ceramics without pressure. The small collection on display at the Kingsbridge information centre are samples of Anna’s testing of techniques and materials, which she has put up for sale to clear space for more sculptural pieces currently under production.

Some exciting news! The Kingsbridge Information Centre are creating a space for local creatives to display and sell their makes for 4 weeks at a time and Laura will be there from the 11th March!

We had a fun morning in the studio developing our creative skills. Anna Ventura - Artist & Designer was busy making plant pots, small dishes, platters and thumb pots, coiling and using other hand building techniques.
Laura Fionn & Rose was having some mindful making, experimenting with lino and fabric printing as well as another artist friend using her mandala corner block for the first time.
