The Theatre House - Closure
I have tried to speak to as many of you as I can, but if not I can only apologise if this comes as a surprise, but it is with great regret that two years on from taking over this wonderful little company I have, eventually, had no choice to make the extremely difficult and heartbreaking decision to wind up The Theatre House Ltd.
The current challenging economic climate, particularly in the Arts and the financial pressures facing all theatres groups, theatres and companies, coupled with the high cost of running two large storage units have proven to be eventually just unsustainable.
I am personally devastated to be in this position, and can only thank my loyal customers, friends and family and everyone who has helped me over the last two years – I have enjoyed every single moment in creating and making visions come to life. It was my dream come true. I can only take some small comfort in knowing that I tried my best and hopefully brought your shows to life.
The Theatre House Ltd will close with immediate effect. However, the former owners of the business Dave Crump and Paul Lumsden have taken back as much of the stock of props, costumes and scenery as they can store and will do their best to pick up any existing orders and indeed potential future dry hires from a smaller base as much as possible.
If you would like to speak to them about hiring items please contact Dave or Paul by DM in the first instance. Their priority will be ensuring any T.H orders for this season are covered as much as possible while they consider next steps.
I cannot thank Dave and Paul enough for everything they’ve done over the past month.
Thank you again for all of your support and faith in my visions, bringing yours to life and hopefully created a little magic for you all.
I hope to see everyone still standing on the other side through this economic climate and have no doubt I will see you somewhere down the road with a paintbrush in hand.
All my love
