As Volunteers’ Week 2026 comes to an end - marking 42 years of saying thank you to all volunteers across the UK for everything they do for society.

We wanted to extend our HUGE thanks to all our incredible Volunteers who are the beating heart of Westacre Theatre.

Without our dedicated, brilliant, hard working volunteers we would simply grind to a halt. We love you all dearly and can’t thank you enough for all you do.

West Acre. Our home.

It’s incredible how many people still don’t know that a little theatre exists in West Norfolk. So if you haven’t discovered the teeny tiny village of West Acre, where we live, you need to add it to your bucket list to explore.

You will stumble upon hidden gem, after hidden gem. We’re surrounded by chalk streams, picture perfect picnic spots (including a spot by our lake) … We’re surrounded by gentle rolling countryside that’s perfect for doggie walks, with even a lovely hill (!) called Tumbleyhill Road to climb (for cyclists).

Delicious grub is tucked away in pubs and cafes and snuggled away in the heart of this village is us, Westacre Theatre, quite possibly the most extraordinary little 83 seat performing arts venue in Norfolk (open all year round!)

In the summer, we take our outdoor productions outside under the wide Norfolk skies and it’s simply the most perfect spot to watch the setting sun as the drama unfolds. We don’t like to boast, but we reckon we perform the best outdoor theatre in Norfolk.

West Acre is a tiny village with the most wonderful artisan vibe.

How are we halfway through the year already?

June for Westacre Theatre is where we catch our breath for a nanosecond, before we dive head first into our fabulous Summer season.

We are so excited about welcoming our Bursary cohort next month and our shiny new Summer Tent is on its way…. more on our tent news soon.

Back to this month, if you’re one of the lucky ones to bag a seat to see the hilarious dynamic duo from this Sat performing a double bill of Pride and Prejudice, (but side split-tingly funny) you’re in for a real treat.

We welcome back to their once a month Valuation Day on 9th June so nip up into the attic and bring along any precious jewels your nan left you for a free no-obligation valuation.

If you love a Quiz then come along to our fundraising night on 10th June and then find out all about becoming a brilliant volunteer at our open day on 13th June!

If you fancy an enchanting mosaic workshop with .art or just fancy swooning at Aidan Turner in Les Liaisons Dangereuses (think all the front row seats are taken!) then jump online and book now.

Just remember we’re a small but mighty yet perfectly formed theatre and your favourite seats will get snapped up quickly!

A huge thank you…

you say?! The Lowry in Manchester? YES!!!!!! OMG!!!!

We are beyond excited to announce that our incredible young actors that performed superbly in directed by the brilliant are going to be performing at Quays Theatre, Lowry next month: Saturday 27th June, 7pm for the Connections Summer Festival.

We just couldn’t be prouder of the Westacre Young performers. We’ll be following their time up north and can’t wait to see them on the somewhat bigger stage than ours!!!
