Another of my recent sketchbook pages for the prompt by Lindsay Mason

This is my drawing of a striking 5-spot burnet moth I saw sunning itself on a knapweed flower. The grassy meadow bank where I saw this is only a short walk from home and in the spring and summer it's covered in wild flowers.

Oooh, that feeling when you realised that you have FINALLY conquer the French Knot! Okay... So they aren't Peeerfect, but they are by previous standards, so that's good enough for now. Onwards and upwards, as my headmistress used to say.

The outcome of my first workshop. This was run by Monique of I had so much fun onto fabric and paper samples. I then added hand-stitching, overlaying and extending the natural prints which were made using a selection of gathered plant materials - since I'd which I also couched down as a final nod to the landscape around me.

Rain pounding on the skylight is one of my most loved sounds. 😍 What wonderful views of the sky we got at sunset tonight as the massive clouds bank coasted over us towards Mansfield.

Wow! What a sky we got this afternoon up here on our hill. It created the most amazing light and a wonderful rainbow over Kimberley. This is the ash tree at the end of our garden as seen through the raindrops on the lounge window.

The mosaic over this fireplace was truly phenomemal. The individual pieces were so tiny that even picking them up with a pair of tweezers would have been a big challenge!

Birthday bubbles and balloons.

Marion felt very special indeed after a full day out with John and I, exploring the house and gardens Then in the evening we all coordinated a surprise gathering address of a lovely meal Thank you for all you did last night, Stephen, Madalina, Ellie and Jack. She really was thrilled!
