Top ten mistakes I see when clients train their dogs 👋
No energy while training or interacting- become a bit more Disney, add more zen to your training voice! 🐾
Measuring on the wrong time metrics, unrealistic time scales for training ⏰
Expecting too much, wanting everything now, expecting too much from the age, breed, environment! 👀
Not setting up- (reactivity) staged meets! Be able to put more reps in in a staged environment rather than just a walk 🤌
Ignoring management,
can’t just cure problems, have to manage situations to prevent your dog being set up to fail 🤷🏻♂️
Don’t be black and white!
Reward effectively - correct effectively
Being too emotianlly too involved! anthropomorphic feelings onto their dog Dog! Reduces stress on your dog if your less emotional
Lack of condistency and commitment, put the reps in if you want results 💪
Rushing, trying to cut corners when teaching new behaviours Slow is smooth and smooth is fast 💨
Not being present while training your dog! Brain has to be focus on training your dog in the present! Not any issues you have previously 🙋♂️
