Hi! 👋 Here’s a wee peek at a new project I’m starting called “The Island Between Seasons” 🌅

I’ve got an overall concept in mind, and I’m writing super short stories in like a flow-of-consciousness diary style, then creating collages based on each story.

It’ll very likely take me a while, but I’ll pop the odd example on here… might even start a new page (once I figure out how to do it 👴🏻😅).

This first one says:

“Exercise.
Eat.
Play.
Read.
Write.
Or read, or write; or write then read.

Then sleep, eat, clean.

Must work.
Could work.
Should work.

Repeat.

Day 1. Decision made, I think.”

Feels like a wee combination of the Ace of Wands (The Spark 🔥) meets the Ace of Pentactles (Opportunity!), I think.

Won’t necessarily be a Tarot story but my head’s full of that and other esoteric meanderings so those will bleed through, I’m sure.

Tarot for the Curious was my first venture, back in 2023 (which seems a lifetime ago!). It’s a short stroll through the basics elements of Tarot (pun intended 👴🏻).

Strength & Beauty: A Tarot Journey was my Xmas holidays 2025 project… Robyn, our protagonist, takes a wee wander of re-discovery and meets some Major Arcana inspired folks along the way.

Both of them have sample spreads you can use and few other handy bits and pieces 📚

Hi! 👋 I haven’t told a wee Tarot story in while so here we go… it’s based on that old Zen story “Good thing, Bad thing, Who Knows?”, you might have heard Alan Watts tell it. 🤷‍♂️

The gist reminds me of an episode of Red Dwarf, (bit of a niche reference but bear with me 🍯) where they go back in time so Rimmer can invent the Tension Sheet. Comedy unfolds, I think it’s called Timeslides 🛝

Good thing? The 5 Wands reminds us that the “battle of life”, tension in fact, is a necessary part of our story…

Bad thing? The 7 Wands reminds us that all the small things add up, (yea I’ve got the song in my head now too 👀😅), so doubt and defiance are all part and parcel of that same story…

Who knows? The 5 Swords stands alone in triumph, so handle defeat with grace but don’t embody anyone else’s definition of success in the process.

We can never really know what’s next, only what’s now. I don’t know what happens next, what the future holds, but I do know what matters, good people.

Hey! 👋 I’d deleted FB off my phone for a bit there, to avoid the old doom-scrolling. (I have it on my iPad so we can keep this convo going!) 📜

I reinstalled it at the weekend so I could add some snaps from my events, (which were AWESOME, thank you Wild Ivy Markets and Glasgow Witchy Bazaar 🙏)

Opened the app at lunchtime there and the first reel I saw, (which was ultimately quite uplifting, honest!), opened with someone saying “you’re going to die”. 🫥👻

Reminded me of one of the stickers I got from this year’s visit to Jon Turner’s stand at Comic Con… a wee robot saying “do something decent before your inevitable death”. How very 2026! 🤖⚡️

I keep some of the wee cards you take away to remember our reading by, they’re on the pin board next to my work desk. Focus on all the good, grow through what you go through, there’s something in you the world needs.

I believe every word of that when we’re having our reading; it’s sometimes, particularly on a Monday morning maybe, difficult to remember that there is a point to this particular act, as Bill Hicks would remind us. 🎢

So, wee bit morbid maybe but Winter Is Coming eh. ❄️

The one wee mantra I’ll always remember, good people, goes: in the end everything will be okay, if it’s not okay it’s not yet the end. 🌈

Hi! Lots going on at the moment; changes, changes, changing. We talked on here before about that feeling of doing nothing is really the feeling of getting ready to do something. Bewilderingly exhausting, exhaustingly bewildering. 😵‍💫

I haven’t used Annie | The Tarot Professor’s Enquire Within cards for a wee while, so used them today. Ironically that’s also the of today’s story! ✋

“What new adventure is calling to me today?” is the prompt card I pulled…

That pull is the Four of Swords, the card of silence, stillness, the inner journey, reflection and reflecting on all the things. 4 is the number of Integration, for me. So it’s giving myself the peace to let those find their orbit, to find where they and therefore I belong. 🛰️

You get nothing for nothing, in Tarot as much as in life, so I also asked about the push, the cost of that adventure… 🪎

Trusted Tarot has a cool definition for Temperance: “opposing forces need not be at war within you” 🤺

Temperance is Alchemy for me, where art meets science, but it’s a pendulum; so push away over-indulgence, reaction over action. Mood swings and questionable choices. 👨🏻‍🔬🍸

You’d think those would be the opposite way round eh… if the adventure was reconciling those opposing forces, the answer is logically to sit at peace and find the right pieces. 🧩

But it would appear not, good people! It’s more like it’s time to have a wee rest without feeling you need to earn it, to find a sustainable pace & rhythm which doesn’t mean bouncing between recovery and exhaustion. 🏃‍♀️

The Aries in me loves this quote: “to the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders” 💫

All good things in time.

Hi! Now that it’s officially autumn (+/-, depending who you ask 😅), I’ve only 4 events left for the rest of the year before I go into my annual hibernation… 🧸

✨ Saturday 3rd October is Wild Ivy Markets at Kelburn Castle from 11-4. Awesome boutique market in case you’re Xmas shopping early this year! 🤯

✨ Sunday 4th October is the Glasgow Witchy Bazaar at The Haberdashery Glasgow from 12-4. This one books out super quick, get down early! 😎

✨ Sunday 25th October is Nicole Reid’s A Court of Thorns & Roses ( ) theme day at Set Sail Tattoo Studio in Irvine. Starts at 10, I’ll be there until 3ish 👸🏻🌹

✨ Sunday 1st November is the last The Witches Cove Glasgow at BAaD - Barras Art & Design of the year, from 11-4. Loads of cool stuff here for the gothy-dragon-crystal-loving witchy folk (like me!) 🙋‍♂️

I’m also still at Secret Garden Holistic Therapies in Kilmarnock every Monday night where I offer a few different packages, the Reiki & Tarot one has been fun lately ⚡️

Hey! 👋 I’m using a deck my parents gifted me today called The Divine Tarot… Yes, you can buy your own decks, but it’s nice to get a wee pressie sometimes eh! 😇

The gist of this Tao-inspired story is that time will tell. Stop looking over there when what matters is here, already. 📍

🤍 What needs nothing of me today?

The Star and Strength both jumped out for this… the LWB with this deck has some interesting definitions. The Star says: “if we listen more than we speak, the truth will ultimately be revealed”. Strength is “often a card of coping strategies, setting boundaries and taking chances”. ⭐️🦁

So, keep it zipped for a bit, basically; the important parts aren’t always said out loud. 🤐

🖤 What wants to be noticed?

The Sun is a more traditional interpretation I reckon, I call it the card of the Inner Child who would agree that “there can be great joy found in the simplest of things”. So keep it simple! 💋

There’s a Japanese principle I’ve just discovered which sums this one up, good people. It’s called which translates to “it can’t be helped” or “there’s no way around it”. In sunny Scotland we’d say “it is what it is” and attempt to act accordingly if we knew what was good for us.

So yea, that’s what I’ll do, just for today. 🙊

Hi! 👋 I’ve a wee summer house in my garden with a biofuel fire. I like to sit in there sometimes, with a cheeky wh**ky on a Friday, and contemplate life, the universe and everything 🐳

A lot, maybe most, of the ideas which become the wee stories we tell on here begin there. I wrote this down last night: “Ideas flow through the universe like wrinkles; narrative wrinkles which twist and shape your story around you, within you, away from you.” 🌪️👠

I was thinking about that old quote last night, (by Heraclitus or Marcus Aurelius, take your pick really), that “time is like a river, you can’t touch the same water twice”, or words to that effect… 🚿

The book Biocentrism was a clincher for me, postulating that consciousness is primary as opposed to the more “conventional” theory that it’s generated biologically. I much prefer, so yea it’s a , the panpsychist notion that we are the receivers, the practical wing, of a conscious universe. A spark of the divine, a fragment torn from god as the Gnostics said. ✨🦋

It’s a bit like the “you don’t see the world as it is, you see it as you are” vibe that we’ve talked about on here before. You are what you believe yourself to be. (Caveat, and maybe a controversial one, but I’m not a The Secret person, I think there’s a bit more magick to it than what I understand that book says, but I’m open to your thoughts, good people!) 🗝️

Without really thinking about it, this has become another Let Be story! 🔥

That’s the point I suppose, right?

Hey! 👋 I’ve definitely told you this before, but The Star is my favourite Tarot card… ⭐️

Not just because of the LWB definition. The star means Hope, which is essential, but there’s more…

There are 8 stars on the card: 7 smaller stars, which I like to imagine as the Seven Sisters of the Pleiades, orbiting that enormous central eight-pointed star. ♾️

It’s card 17, and you know I love a bit of Numerology so 1+7=8, but is it as simple as that, ever? 🤹😅

Most of us can only easily distinguish six of those stars with the naked eye, the myth goes that one sister hid or grew dim from the “shame” of loving a mortal man… 🫥

The central figure walks in that liminal space: one foot on earth, one foot on water; she’s the bridge between sacred vessels, the inner and the outer ✨

So Hope is Important, (thank you Idlewild 🤘) and it’s also hidden in that middle path.

Hope is an active force. We can’t only hope we get the job, find the right relationship, learn to love and trust ourselves a wee bit more. We need to look those things in the eye, with the awesome(ly intense!) curiosity that Aquarius delivers. 🧿

Absence of hope, or absence of anything really, isn’t proof that it doesn’t exist. Just like not everything visible, material, corporeal needs our belief.

Stop hiding good people, let your light shine. However dim you believe your light to be, it’s not lost, and neither are you. 🌌
