Sometimes, the most beautiful moments happen when there are no set steps to follow.

Freestyle gives our dancers the freedom to listen to the music, trust their instincts and express themselves through movement.

There is no right or wrong way. Just imagination, emotion and the confidence to create something that feels completely their own.

What a royally brilliant time we had at our recent SIX inspired Musical Theatre camp! 👑💜

From learning choreography and embracing the characters to performing with confidence, our dancers brought so much energy, personality and enthusiasm to every moment.

But the best part was watching them support one another, make new friends and feel proud of everything they achieved together.

Thank you to every dancer who joined us and made the camp so special. We loved seeing you find your confidence and shine like the queens you are ✨

This September, we are offering one FREE taster session in our Street and Commercial classes at Chloe May’s Dance Academy.

These energetic and welcoming classes give children the opportunity to express themselves, learn exciting choreography, develop their confidence and make new friends.

Choose from:

✨ Girls Street, ages 7 to 12
Mondays, 5pm to 5.45pm
Kidderminster

✨ Boys Street, ages 7 to 14
Mondays, 5.50pm to 6.35pm
Kidderminster

✨ Street X Commercial, ages 5 to 10
Thursdays, 4.25pm to 4.55pm
Tardebigge, near Bromsgrove and Redditch

✨ Commercial, ages 10 to 16
Thursdays, 7.30pm to 8pm

✨ MEET OUR PRINCIPAL — CHLOE MAY ✨

It’s time to introduce the lady behind Chloe May’s Dance Academy 💗

Meet Chloe May — Principal, teacher, performer and the driving force behind our dance family! 🌟

Chloe has trained extensively across Ballet, Modern, Tap, Theatre Dance and Performing Arts, with qualifications including Associate ISTD, Associate IDTA, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a First Class BA (Hons) in Dance with Performing Arts from Middlesex University.

She also completed three years of professional vocational training at Performers College, gaining a Trinity National Diploma in Theatre Dance, alongside advanced vocational examinations in Tap, Modern and Ballet. Chloe is also a certified Acrobatic Arts teacher.

🎭 Career highlights include:

⭐ Performing in Spirit of the Dance and Spirit of Christmas in Atlantic City and on European tours
⭐ Dancing alongside Rachel Stevens and S Club 7 on TV
⭐ Performing with Cannon and Ball in Comedy Bonanza 2002 at Blackpool’s Grand Theatre
⭐ Performing in Peter Pan at Darlington Theatre

But Chloe’s experience goes far beyond the stage 💜

Before opening Chloe May’s Dance Academy, Chloe spent nine years teaching Dance and Musical Theatre in education, where she also became Assistant Head of Year, School Literacy Co-ordinator and completed a secondment on the Senior Leadership Team.

Today, Chloe brings together her professional performance experience, extensive teacher training and passion for education to create an academy where every dancer can develop their confidence, technique and love of performing.

And at the heart of it all is what makes CMDA so special…

Every new Acro skill begins with the courage to try.

There may be wobbles, nervous moments and plenty of practice along the way, but every attempt helps our dancers grow stronger and believe in themselves a little more.

At CMDA, progress is never rushed. Our dancers are supported, encouraged and celebrated as they develop their skills at their own pace.

Because the greatest achievement is not always mastering the movement. Sometimes, it is simply discovering that you are brave enough to try 💜

Today, they might be taking their very first steps into the studio.

They might feel nervous, stay close to the door or quietly watch the other dancers before joining in.

But with every class, something begins to change.

They learn to try, even when they are unsure.

They discover the joy of moving to music.

They build friendships, celebrate little achievements and slowly begin to believe in themselves.

At CMDA, children do not need to arrive with experience or confidence. Our caring teachers create a warm and supportive space where every dancer can learn, grow and settle in at their own pace.

Behind every pointed toe and carefully practised position, something much bigger is growing 🩰

Ballet teaches our dancers how to listen, focus and keep trying when something does not feel easy straight away.

It gives them the confidence to take up space, express themselves through movement and feel proud of every little improvement.

It teaches patience as they discover that progress takes time.

It creates friendships through shared routines, encouragement and the joy of learning together.

And most importantly, it gives each dancer a place where they can feel seen, supported and completely themselves.

At CMDA, we are proud of the beautiful steps our dancers learn, but we are even prouder of the confidence, resilience and kindness they develop along the way.
