If you like all things circus, learning new skills and making new friends while dancing to music and watching the finest shows then PLaY Festival is the perfect little festival for you. Founded in 2005 PLaY is a friendly circus festival which welcomes all ages at any skill level, from internationally celebrated performers to complete beginners. You can camp with us from the 13th till the 23rd Augu

TONIGHT! 6.30pm we will be hosting our first PLaY family dinner. An opportunity to meet, connect, catch-up and share with friends old and new. The first event of our Sunset Gathering and if it's anything like the sunset last night it's going to be very very special indeed ❤️

Meet by the gate office at 6.30

Bring food, bring yourselves, bring your cutlery, bring your merriment. Tickets available from now on the gate (£10 camping tonight plus £150 for the main event)

That's it, our ticket shop is now closed and the PlaY crew have started arriving at Hopton Court for set up.

You can still join us: tickets will be available on the gate for the same price as online, so for an adult ticket £150 for the full 5 days, or £110 for a Weekender to join us from Friday. Additional nights camping can also be bought on site at £10 per night Monday, Tuesday and Sunday). Any dog/camper/car passes you've missed can be purchased at gate too.

A reminder if you're joining us on site early that there'll be no caterers open until Wednesday but the showers are already in and the loos arrive tomorrow.

We can't wait to see you, the weather has been glorious today and the site is looking incredible already.

Because of set up please bear with us if messages or comments here don't get picked up as quickly as you'd like. Don't forget for more general questions you can always pop them in our group and see if the community can help out.

This is going to be an incredible week, we're looking forward to celebrating PLaY's sunset and our amazing community with you all

Our UV and neon area this year will be bigger and brighter than ever. Yes, our amazing decor team are going all out this year but it's the nightglow and UV area that's getting a huge glow up 💛💚💜

Don't forget to bring your neon and UV props and toys, bring your face paints, bring your craziest glow clothing because the field this year is going to be one heck of a sight.

Come join after dark as we GLOW with fun. And if you forget we'll have Oddballs.Juggling on site with us selling a range of props and toys.

PLaY 2024: The Sunset Gathering is nearly here 😀❤ Today, Sunday, is your last chance to buy tickets online, from this afternoon they'll only be available on the gate. Head to our ticket shop now to get yours. It might be slightly scaled down but we think the workshops, shows, music and games we've got lined up will make this a truly special few days with so much of the PLaY magic you'd expect.

There's just 24 hours until our ticket shop closes for PLaY: The Sunset Gathering and here's our latest schedule. We are once again blown away by the offers of support and whilst we're still not offering our usual full festival we hope you'll agree that this is definitely more than just lively camping! ❤😃

We're still on the lookout for workshops so if you've something you'd like to share or offer then please pop your details on our workshop form which is in the comments below.

This is the last PLaY for the current org team and we are loving how many familiar names are popping up on the ticket list to come share the PLaY fun, we'd love to see more though, come join us. Ticket shop shuts noon on Sunday, after that there'll be tickets available on the gate when we open at noon on Wednesday

Here at PLaY we want to add our voices to those deploring the racism and xenophobia we've seen in the last few days.

PLaY is an incredible world, which has many times over the years come together with generosity, consideration and love. But we recognise that not all communities are as tolerant and welcoming and that recent events have made it sadly evident that too many people in our society still face prejudice, hate and racism.

PLaY HQ is clear that we want our community – and the wider communities that we are all part of – to be safe places, where everyone can find connection, love and turn away from hate. We also recognise that PLaY and the wider world of circus would benefit by being more diverse and there is always more work to be done.
In the meantime we offer our love, support and unity to those affected and strongly condemn the actions of a few in stirring up hatred.

Lean into love always ❤
