I am not a comedian, well I don't think so, although I always enjoy a good laugh. But I will be appearing, with others, at this show, and I know that some of my friends have been to see me previously, so here we go again.

International Childhood Cancer Day

15th February 2022

As an Oncology Mummy if there is one thing I could pass on, it would be to know the symptoms of childhood cancer. This one day, may save your child's life.

Please today, keep in your thoughts children who have had a cancer diagnosis, until you've seen it with your own 2 eyes - you have no idea how brave these children are.

Aoife - you are always without fail, the first thing we think of when we wake up and the first thing we think of when we try and go to sleep at night. If we could have one wish, it would be that childhood cancer wasn't a thing. That all of you and your heavenly friends stolen by this evil, got better.

To all my friends who saw me do this in 2019, well this year I'm back, with at least 2 friends joining with me. It is a great experience a wonderful event and a second to none cause. Join me please The Glee Club in Birmingham on November 21st.

Hywel signed up to Ultra Comedy London to make a difference and change lives but had life changing news of his own in the process.

“Ultra Comedy looked like a great opportunity to do something different, raise money for a great cause and hopefully make people laugh! I work for a charity, so I know what a difference dedicated fundraiser can make. The 8 weeks free training from a professional definitely also attracted me.

A couple of weeks after signing up I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It was touch and go for a bit, but I was just about able to come back and perform. The event was just two weeks after my surgery.

I was a bit sore and had missed most of the build up, but at least I had plenty of material to talk about! Thankfully I'm all okay and recovered now.

It was a real rollercoaster from start to finish, but ultimately one of the most rewarding things I've ever done.
