September 1st and autumn already!

Proof that DIY is bad for you! 😂I've given myself a TLC+ facial... this is the hydrating acid peel stage after cleansing. No wonder my skin felt so dull and congested!

The combination of a long, hot summer and dusty reno jobs had clogged up my skin, which after my facial, now feels amazing! A new season facial is a great way to treat your skin!

From last winter, this was one of my favourite blemish removals as it made such a difference to my client's confidence! As UV levels decrease, now is the time to think about booking in for facial blemish removals, as healing is a little easier without strong sunlight.

In this photo collage, I have removed a large and very dark seborrheic keratosis. This was checked by a dermatologist prior to removal. The lower photos show before, immediately after removal and healed... We were both delighted with the healed result after just one session!

At last! I'm so happy to be back doing treatments and it's good to have an excuse to be sitting down for a while 😂

I'm starting off with facials to check how the room flows, and all is good.

The room still needs some finishing touches, but it functions well and is easy to clean, so I hope you'll find your treatments will be comfortable and everything you'd expect! Can't wait to welcome you to my new space!

From the archive; here, thread veins to the chin have been treated. Heat is applied to the blemish with the electrolysis probe. The skin remains intact, but is likely to be a little pink for a few hours after the procedure.

In a few week's time, a follow-up session will be required for this lady. In this case, I'm looking for improvement at this stage in her treatment plan.

SPF 50+ is essential post treatment during the summer... and moisturise morning and evening every day without fail!

I can treat Thread Veins and Spider veins to the face only. Thread veins on the body are usually too big for electrolysis. I can also treat Cherry Angiomas (face and body), as well as Skin Tags, Seborrheic Keratosis and other benign blemishes.

While treatments are on hold, here's a post about healed colour. Healed colour is often different to the colour in the bottle. Here's an example of fresh colour which heals and holds in my skin in ways I may not have expected.

On myself, I use a colour called "roots". As you can see from my colour chart, the colour as it comes out of the bottle is really dark (left side of my chart). When thinned with thinning fluid (right side of the colour chart) it looks a very pale yellow.

The mix I use on my eyebrows is roots and a couple of drops of thinning fluid. It heals up and holds as a pale, soft cool brown, much cooler than the fresh colour would suggest.

This is why I always use lighter colour for your first session, so I have plenty of room for adjustments should the colour need it at your second session or at colour boosts. The skin can be very individual in how colour heals up and holds, and it's always better to be cautious. Lots of things can effect the colour, such as skin type, age and medication.

My eyebrows were last touched up around a year ago. I like my eyebrow tattoo to be a pale colour wash under my patchy brow hair, just enough to fill in the many gaps and give my eyebrows some shape, but not too heavy or dark.

So, remember when your eyebrows are first done to never judge the healed result by the fresh colour or the colour in the bottle!

Nothing says August quite like sunflowers! Post move, feeling and looking a bit dishevelled, still surrounded by a sea of boxes!

My July was sorting, organising, tip runs and packing. My August will be more sorting, organising, tip runs and unpacking. What a summer! 😂

Apologies to those who were booked in next week, and thank you for re-scheduling. The original move date was pushed back by a week so I'm behind schedule.

I'll be sorting my treatment room over the next few days. I can't wait to do a room reveal, so watch this space! Oh, and please remind me never to do this again! 😂
