Who says play is just for kids? 😉

As part of our International Day of Play celebrations, some of our visitors couldn't resist putting our play equipment to the test during their factory tour.

The theme this year is "Protect Play, Protect Childhood", but perhaps today is also a reminder that play doesn't stop when we grow up.

Whether you're young or simply young at heart, there's something about climbing, balancing, swinging and exploring that brings out the child in all of us.

It’s amazing what just 31 minutes of play can do.

From boosting confidence and creativity to supporting physical and mental wellbeing, play isn’t just fun, it’s essential.

This International Day of Play, the theme is "Protect Play, Protect Childhood" recognising the important role play has in helping children learn, grow and thrive.

That’s why we’re supporting the and calling on schools across the UK & Ireland to give children an extra 31 minutes of play.

Because protecting play means protecting the moments that help shape childhood.

At Wicksteed, we believe every child deserves the right to play — regardless of their background, ability or where they live. Inclusive, engaging and thoughtfully designed play spaces give children opportunities to explore, build confidence, develop friendships and simply enjoy being children.

Our amazing team came together to design, manufacture and install a specially themed piece of play equipment, along with a bespoke Elephant Springy, in just five working days right here at our Kettering HQ. 💚

Created for a very special event at Number 10 Downing Street, this project showcased the passion, creativity and expertise that goes into everything we do.

We can't wait to share more with you and reveal the play equipment that brought smiles to so many families on Global Parents Day.
