Fantastic news!!!
Workington’s Festival of Curious Things, is coming to Town next Saturday 12th September. Dinosaurs, music from Mr Wilson’s Second Liners an amazing Brass Band,Fair Rides, Little Inventors activity zone and so much more. There is our normal Saturday Market plus extra food and craft stalls and the Teenage Market.
All day long on Saturday 12th September in Workington. Murray Road, Washington Square Shopping Centre and Pow Street. Please tell everyone you know and share the post.

Bank Holiday weekend is just about here. Tomorrow, Friday, Cumberland Markets in Wigton and of course Carlisle. Carlisle weekly Market is not 1 but 2 Markets tomorrow. One at the cathedral and the other one at the top of the Street from Barclays Bank to the Cumberland Building Society. 2 for the price of 1. Come and visit and next week back in the normal place. The picturesque location at Carlisle Cathedral and at the top of the Market Square up by Boots, Barclays and Cumberland Building Society. Come and visit all our Markets. Another busy week for Cumberland Council’s Markets. Workington as usual on Wednesday and Saturday. Keswick on Thursday and Saturday. Wigton on Friday. The big difference this week. Carlisle Weekly Market is having a slight relocation this week. We are on 2 sites. One at the stunning location at the Cathedral. The other at the top end of the Market Square, just up by Barclays Bank and Boots. This is to free space for the International market. Please come and find us in both locations. Keswick Market again tomorrow. It will be brilliant as ever. It won’t be as good as Saturday though. In my my years involved in the Market, I have never seen it busier or better. Well the be big day is on the horizon. Saturday is the celebration of the 750th Anniversary of the award of the Market Charter to Keswick by Edward I. This is the running order.
10.30-Jason the Juggling Jester.
11.00- Princess Parade With Elsa and Shrek (photos)
11.30- Wednesday Adams Performance. (Photos)
12.00- The reenactment of the handover of the Charter. With the Town Crier and Keswick Mayor.
12.15- Confidence Kids dancing with Spider-Man and Woody.
12.30- Market Awards ceremony.
12-30- Also K,Pop. And Interactive photos with Stitch.
1.00pm- Alfie Davis, Local Musician.
Plus Spider-Man Miss Rachel and of course Jason the Juggling Jester, in the afternoon. And don’t forget we have a 750 year old Market as well. Still the best Market in the North of England. There is also a fantastic Tombola run on the day by Keswick Town Council. All to raise money for the Children’s playground in Fitz Park. Prizes donated by the Keswick Market Traders. Big thank you to them.
