New pyrography series. I’m hoping to make a few of these and this was a prototype. It looks lovely varnished and I’m a big fan of birch trees. I got impatient and painted/burned on a bit of wood that needed cutting down. That was a problem for ‘future Cole’. So trimming and sanding came after the final project. A mistake I won’t make again. OR WILL I?!

This weeks project. Lettering takes forever with pyrography but I’ve wanted this sign for ages so it was worth it. Got fancy with 45 degree corners for the frame but cheated by screwing them in through the back. 🤫 Stills needs an outdoor stain/varnish but I’m plum out so that will have to wait for now.

I love pyrography but it puts quite a strain on the wrists!
