A tale of honour, secrets, and, inevitably, death, the plot centres on the two daughters (and their husbands) of notorious warrior Ornulf - given a gruff but authoritative air by John McLear.

This piece is something of a curiosity, being one of Ibsen's early and lesser-known works, and has not been professionally staged in the UK since 1930.

Yay! Hallowe'en - our favourite holiday! and the Vikings invented it, you know*.
Today marks the end of the raiding season - time to hang up your swords, count up your plunder and settle in for a long, dark winter of drinking and tale-telling.

The Wild Hunt - the last ride of the dead, screamed across the skies of the North in Viking times - and the only protection was beer** - so to keep safe this Hallowe'en, we'd recommend Drayton Arms SW5 tonight with a Hallowe'en party until 2am - and, for a closer look at the Last Ride of the Dead - come see the show at The Drayton Theatre first.

** Seriously - look it up. You have to drink it out of eggshells though...
