Loved the mountains but equally the cities and culture. Finally got to visit the Vitra Design Museum, a short bus ride into Germany, with architecture by Frank Gehry, Herzong de Meuron, Zaha Hadid, Buckminster Fuller and Tado Ando. Such a bonus to get to see the wonderful exhibition of Hella Jongerius, who has been so inspiring since her early days with Droog Design.
In Milan, the phenomenal, and recently restored Duomo, the MilanoVetro-35 glass exhibition at the Castello and the Prada Foundation with its Wes Anderson designed bar / cafe were highlights...ooh and not forgetting meeting friends and being sidetracked with many 5 euro Hugo Spritz 😀

Interrail summer '26.
Fun and inspiring times in the mountains, rivers, lakes and cities traveling by the amazing and punctual trains of Switzerland and Italy.
It is lovely to be back in the studio but missing those blue skies.

Super long kiln firings can only mean two things......hot studio and sleepless nights ! 🔥Currently working on 4 large glass windows for a porch. Fascinating how the heat changes the colours of the glass and powders - in this case nice and bright!
Top window ready to be triple glazed, first of the vertical pieces in for a first firing this morning.

Lovely mini break in the idyllic Isles of Scilly last weekend, running the amazing event.
60km around all 5 inhabited islands! Sun, wind, boats, running on sand 🤢, lovely folk, laughter, annoying cramp, type 2 fun - oh and dodgy wind swept hair.
What a great event (although at the time maybe didn't think quite like that) - a huge thanks to Wez Swain for dreaming it up and being the nicest race organiser.
Totally recommend a visit and the event - Now back to reality.
