The star of this year’s Festival finale, Kirsty McLean takes to the stage again this weekend for Cumbria Opera Group’s 10th anniversary production. Head to Victoria Hall, Grange-Over-Sands this Saturday and Sunday for a semi-staged production of Bizet’s Carmen.

A huge thank you to our volunteers!

The festival simply wouldn't happen without the incredible people who give up their time to help make it all possible. From welcoming audiences and helping at venues, to keeping things running behind the scenes, our volunteers are such an important part of the Lake District Music team.

We are all so grateful for the time, energy, patience, and enthusiasm you've given us throughout this year's festival. You've helped create such a warm welcome for our artists and audiences.

That's a wrap on the 2026 Lake District Music Summer Festival! ✨

What a festival it's been. From beautiful performances and incredible musicians to family events, workshops, and unforgettable moments across the Lake District. It's been such a joy to share another summer of music with you all.

A huge thank you to every artist, musician, venue, volunteer, festival partner and member of our wonderful team who helped make it all possible. And, of course, thank you everyone who came along and made such special memories with us.

We're already missing it... but what a way to end the summer 🎶

The Festival returns to Kendal Town Hall today for an afternoon of contrasting performances. The incredible pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason takes the stage for a sold out recital before the energetic Stringfever bring the day to a close with an evening of comedy and musical surprises.
