One of my new years resolutions, I should probably point out at this point I make new years resolutions in September - apparently September resolutions are more likely to succeed as your resolve hasn't been ground down by winter yet. Also it's universally a time of new beginnings so your brain is hardwired to take to new routines better.
I digress, my resolution is to get more savvy with technology again! Queue the dodgy reels and figuring out how to use my camera, learning all about software that's now around and how to use it, I'll get there!
So tonight I ticked something off my bucket list that I've wanted to do for ages, I took my first ever photo of the northern lights aka the Aurora Borealis! All thanks to the fabulous instruction and patience from Jonny Gios Photography. I had previously thought doing this would involve booking a fancy trip to Iceland however living in the Lakes there's plenty of dark skies to utilise so I'm going to do use that!
I know I have a million things to learn about taking a better photo but standing in the cold staring into space with the rain blowing a hooly is good for the soul and I have a pleased, I did something I wanted to do, empowerment glow about my person now.
So here's to achievable goals and taking baby steps to where we want to be.
Go get those achievable goals!
