UK SUPER SENIORS SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP LAUNCHED FOR PLAYERS AGED 55 AND OVER
“A New World Seniors snooker event to bring together the best over-55 players for a major two-day championship on 5th and 6th December 2026”
A major new event is set to join the World Seniors snooker calendar with the launch of the UK Super Seniors Snooker Championship, a brand-new tournament exclusively for players aged 55 and over.
The inaugural championship will take place on 5th and 6th December, bringing together experienced players from across the UK and beyond for two days of competitive snooker and a celebration of the game's legendary older generation.
Day 1 will see players drawn into groups for the round robin element with the winner of each group progressing to the final stages on the Sunday. The event will initially be staged across two venues, The Crucible clubs in both Newbury and Reading before the winner is decided via the knockout stage in Reading on Sunday 6th.
Chairman Jason Francis said “Our Super Seniors, over 55+ category represents one of the fastest-growing areas of participation in competitive snooker, with former professionals, long-standing amateurs and players returning to the sport continuing to demonstrate that age is no barrier to playing at a high level. The UK Super Seniors Snooker Championship aims to build on that enthusiasm by creating a prestigious event specifically designed around this age group and their previous commitment to Seniors Snooker
